Financial Aid and Scholarships at Girne American University

GAU offers a range of scholarships and financial aid programs to support the academic journeys of its successful students.

1. Competitive Tuition Fee Scholarships (75% or 100%)

  • Each academic year, GAU awards competitive additional tuition fee scholarships to successful students, providing financial support for their studies.
  • These scholarships can cover either 75% or 100% of the tuition fees, depending on the student's academic performance.

2. Three Forms of Scholarships

  • GAU provides students with opportunities to receive scholarships in three distinct forms:

a. High Honour Scholarship

  • Students who achieve a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.50 or higher after their first academic year (spring and fall semesters) are eligible to apply for additional Academic Tuition Fee Scholarships.

b. Work Team Scholarship

  • Students can qualify for 'work-equivalent' scholarships by actively working in relevant units and facilities within the university.

c. Sports Scholarship

  • Students selected by the School of Sports to represent the university become eligible for a 100% Sports Tuition Fee Scholarship.
  • Please note that all scholarships are subject to availability, and students who withdraw from a course may lose their scholarship entitlement.

3. Scholarships for Top Foundation English School Graduates

  • Upon successful completion of the University's Foundation English School, top-performing students are awarded additional scholarships.

Girne American University is committed to providing financial support and incentives to its students through various scholarship programs. For specific details on eligibility, application procedures, and scholarship terms and conditions, students should refer to the official GAU resources and announcements.
